On Tuesday 9th June 2015 at 10am we had Sasha come and visit from First Bite.
The Oral Health Presentations are tailored to accommodate different age groups, and covers topics such as tooth eruption times (change from baby to adult teeth); braces, healthy eating, as well as good oral hygiene habits. Attached is an info-graphic on how dental practice helps to maintain a happy mouth and a healthy body. Throughout the presentation they used interactive tools and websites to include student participation, and then we have time for students to share their own dental experiences – good or bad!
During the presentation they handed out dental show bags including toothbrushes and toothpaste, easy-to-read instruction sheets on brushing and flossing techniques, plus puzzles to take home as dental homework.
The children asked many questions and we had the opportunity to see the cool glasses and props that they use at the dentist too!
