4 Year Old Kindergarten

Our 4-year-old kinder program Victorian funded, and approved program delivered by fully qualified and experienced teachers within our long day care hours. To be eligible for 4-year-old kindergarten, your child must turn 4 by 30 April in the year of kindergarten attendance. All families have access to 15 hours of kindergarten per week.

The curriculum follows the children’s emerging interests, knowledge of child development and the families and community’s interests, beliefs and values all aligned to our philosophy.  Literacy, numeracy, science, music, art, sensory play, are all promoted throughout the program. Our program aims to develop independence, build social skills and resilience in preparation for school.

Our school readiness program aims to assist all children to prepare for a positive transition to school by making your child’s pathway from kinder to school a smooth experience for all.  We make regular visits to our local school to support each child to develop a sense of belonging and familiarity to the school environment. It also enhances children’s social and emotional development by establishing and building positive relationships with teachers, school staff and peers and enhance children’s social and communicative skills through appropriate play-based experiences.

We also have regular incursions, and excursions in the local community, to expose your child to diverse experiences and environments such as Happy Feet Fitness, Italian, and Music with Jaz.

We at Bimbi Day Care will work in collaboration with you the families to support your child’s individual strengths and needs and provide a high-quality program to help support your child’s transition to school.
